Tulip & Twine is an independent florist based in the Cotswolds village of Sherston, founded by Grace Salt.
Grace’s love of flowers began at twelve. What started as a curiosity quickly became a lifelong calling. She went on to complete a two-year, full-time BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Floristry, graduating with distinctions and achieving national competition awards.
With over 16 years of floristry experience in both commercial and independent flower shops across the UK, Grace opened Tulip & Twine to create something more personal — thoughtful floristry rooted in seasonality, craftsmanship and a genuine connection with her customers and community.
Grace's Style & Approach
Grace’s designs are inspired by the natural beauty of quintessential English gardens and countryside — romantic and relaxed, elegant yet unforced.
She works with seasonal British flowers wherever possible, creating arrangements shaped by what is naturally at its best. From mid-spring through early autumn, many stems are sourced from local growers across Wiltshire and neighbouring counties.
This has led Grace to a distinctive approach. Rather than working from fixed designs chosen from a catalogue, Grace creates individually crafted bouquets and arrangements, meaning no two will ever be exactly alike.
“Every flower should sing,” Grace explains. “When the local sweet peas are at their peak, or the dahlias are particularly stunning, or there’s an abundance of beautiful seasonal foliage — that’s what goes into my designs. Customers receive whatever is at its absolute best, not flowers that have travelled across continents simply to match a photograph.”
Grace has cultivated strong partnerships with Wiltshire and Cotswolds flower growers, allowing her to source beautiful British-grown stems at their freshest whenever the seasons allow.
Rooted in Community
Located at 1 Church Street, Sherston, Tulip & Twine is both a working floristry studio and a welcoming village presence.
Grace believes floristry should enrich the community it serves. Alongside daily orders, she hosts seasonal workshops and small group masterclasses, creating a space for connection as well as creativity.
Tulip & Twine proudly serves Sherston, Malmesbury, Tetbury, Corsham, Chippenham, Yate and surrounding villages across Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire.
Supporting Local Growers
Grace is proud to work with trusted local growers, including The Tetbury Flower Company, a British cut-flower grower and specialist dahlia nursery in the South Cotswolds.
In 2026, The Tetbury Flower Company was awarded an RHS Gold medal at the RHS Badminton Flower Show — wonderful recognition of the quality and skill behind one of Grace’s valued local suppliers.
